This
past Wednesday night we started our fifth event of the 2007 season
as well we started
the furthest back this year (29th of 39 cars) and WE WON!!!
The past few weeks we have had handling issues with the car, but
after some adjustments we got the car right where we want it. We
started 29th and quickly moved to the front, a few laps in the #37
spun right in front of me and I had no where to go and lightly hit
him in the drivers door, it did some damage to the left front but
that didn't seem to slow us down any.
With
8 laps to go I was battling with Mike Yost (#25) and Patrick Williams
(#78) for the win, and once again like last week it was great racing,
no hitting, no bumping, just flat out close racing. There was of
course a few restarts and after making my way around Yost I gave
it all I had to get around Williams, who by the way is battling
me for the points championship and its soo close that every position
matters!! The car was soo loose the last five laps I just held on
and hoped for the best, it was like driving a dirt track out there.
But in the end we were able to hold on for our third win overall
and second of the season.
In
business news, Wednesday was the first time that MCM had a primary
sponsor on the hood of the car, Shantok Motors, Which I hope you
all had a chance to see that, if not there are pictures. Well it
was also there first day of business, so not a bad way to start
a business by having their car go to victory lane. So if you need
car repairs done please give Shantok Motors of Rt. 32 Uncasville,
CT a call!!!
Oh
ya thanks Kimberly and Chris for the pictures!!
