Getting Better

Well things are turning around for the better, mainly my car in the turns. Last Sat. in my debut on the Mini Stock Division I was NOT competitive at all. This week with some small adjustments I was more competitive and actually was keeping with the pack. I had started 19th and raced my way up to 12th before a restart when a more competitive car was pushing me down the front grandstands and into turn one, so instead of wrecking the car because I'm still not sure what the car will do all the time I let them all by and sat in behind the pack and continued to work on my line. I even had a lap under 18 seconds in both the feature race and heat race and I finished on the lead lap. My two goals were to finish on the lead lap and have a lap in the 18.2 second range, and I did both so I was pretty happy with my results last night.

The next time I am at the track will be Wednesday night, but not to race but for the Wild N' Wacky Wednesday Awards Party.

Next week is the Town Fair Tire Finale, a race that I won last year in the X-Car division for my first career win. I will have more posted in the week as to whether or not I will race in it to defend my first win.
