The #30 spent Friday night on the scales to figure out what went wrong last week. This week we ran much much better and have a good baseline to work off of now. The #2 also spent some time on the scales on Wednesday night before going out to practice on Thursday, and has picked up alot of speed. Both cars were running decent in practice pulling consistent laps to run with the pack, and both were experiencing the same issue everyone else had, the car drifting up the track. After making small air pressure adjustments both cars went out for their heats.

For the third straight week the #30 started on the pole in the heat race, and for the third straight week spun on the first lap in front of everyone coming out of turn two. The #30 didn't get up to speed on the start because the transmission jammed and wouldn't go back to 2nd gear so it had to roll from third gear.

For the race the #2 started right in front of the #30 and the #2 started to run up thru the pack while the #30 got caught behind the #52. It took a few laps but the #30 finally figured out that the way to get around was the high side, and near the end not only got by the #52 but started to make up ground on the pack. While on the last lap down the back stretch the #30 was ready to pass the #21 for another position before the yellow came out from a two car wreck in turn three. The #30 slowed and sat behind the #21 not racing him back to the line.

The caution was brought out by the #34 and #2 making hard contact in turn three. The #05 had made unintentional contact with the #34 in the turn sending the #34 around, the #2 tried hard to avoid the #34 but couldn't and made very very hard contact with him. the #34 drove away but the #2 was towed back to the pits. Jeff got out limping and was later brought to the hospital for examinations of his left knee, which bounced off of his right knee in the almost sudden stop from hitting the #34. The #2 needs some series work to get it back to racing, if it can even be saved. If you have any parts or a parts car that you would like to get rid of the #2 could really used it, just contact me with the details and I will pass them along.

I will post updates on the #2 repairs during the week.
