First
off sorry this wasn't uploaded sooner, I guess the server didn't
accept it or something. But tonight we made some small changes to
the #30 right before the feature race, and they worked, they worked
really well, almost all the cars in front of me were holding me
up so I didn't even really get up to speed, so I think we are starting
to figure these cars out.
As
most know the #2 was in a hard hit last week, and Jeff broke his
leg from it. They got the car back together and the driver for this
week was Glenn Estes, a man who has been around the block at a few
tracks in New England and thru-out the country. For his first time
in the car he did pretty good, although he was struck with problems
all day, first the valve cover broke lose in the first practice,
then the run off for the crank case kept over flowing and spilling
onto the fire wall and all over the inside of the car. After getting
all that fixed he ran good, until a wreck where he was hit while
in the infield.
The
wreck, quite frankly not a single competitor has mentioned anything
good about the #50 when he is on the track, they say he is a nice
person when he isn't in his car with a helmet on... its called Red
Mist for those who don't know. The #50 caused the wreck that took
out both the #2 and #30, and the other cars that were also towed
away, the #57 and #52 I believe. First off shame on the #50 for
driving the way he does, knocking cars around instead of going around
them, and secondly shame on the tower and race control for letting
him stay out there. He was pushing people around up front, then
went to the back and pushed the #57 around, then got mid-pack and
pushed the #52 around which cause the wreck in turn 3. Then not
only do they park the #50 but they place him in the final standings
in front of everyone he wrecked. Its not right, and the race director
is as much at fault for that wreck as the #50. I didn't have alot
of respect for the race director anyway's, considering how he treated
me the last two years in the X-Car division, and now I have lost
respect for the #50.
The
#30 will not race this weekend at the Speedbowl and really is in
no huge rush to get back if this is how races are going to be there.
