I
never thought I would say this, but hats off to Speedbowl management
on running the races earlier, more tracks around the country are
doing it for financial reason's mostly but the 6:30 start was great
because it was saturday night, my car was back in the shop before
8pm, and I still had the rest of the night free. More tracks around
the country started moving feature races up to 5pm instead of 7pm
so that fans could still have the night to do other activities in
the area (like the Speedbowl did for the fireworks which im not
sure how many people actually went to them) or they do it so that
fans can come watch local racing action and then still have time
to go home and watch the Sprint Cup races. But it gives fans and
drivers more time to do other stuff as well as save the track money
because they aren't running their lights as more or sometimes not
turning them on at all, so its win/win, I hope the Speedbowl does
this more often!!
Well
finally made it back on track, however the car had some issues.
The first issue was the K-frame is still bent way too much, so we
need to find some way to move the chassis of the car forward so
the wheel bases are the same, or at least closer then they are now.
My other problem was that I was way under power, might have something
to do with the timing change we made, but the car was running about
400 rpm less then it did before. But the car felt pretty good none
the less and we will tweak it this week to get a little more out
of it.
By
the way Happy Birthday to my Dad!!!
