Mark
Caise Motorsports launched their first website on February 22, 2007.
By June of that year they had reached 200 visitors, as the site
was still new and not well known. The hits just kept on coming as
by October 21, 2007 they had reached 1000 visitors. The website
grew in popularity as the visitor numbers slowly increased the hits
per day shot thru the roof. On April 9, 2008 the site had reached
2000 visitors, just days before the opening race for the 2008 season.
Now on August 26, 2008, just 4 months later, the site reached another
1000 visitors to have a grand total of 3000. At the rate the site
is growing, we should be around 4000 visitors near the end of November,
with the hits increasing by 9% each week during that time.
What
is a visitor? A visitor is a computer that has never
been on the website before, its based purely on the computers cookies.
For example if you go on my website for the very first time with
your computer on Monday, and check back in on Monday night, and
every night that week, then it is only counted as one visitor, but
counted as 8 hits. Each time you check back in after the first initial
time on the website it is considered a hit, we average many many
hits per day and the average just keeps going up.
Where
is everyone looking at this website from? Believe
it or not we get just about as many hits and visitors from outside
of CT as from people inside of CT. About 58% of traffic is from
CT, about 10% is from Canada and Europe, the other 20% come from
all over the country from California, Florida, New York, New Jersey,
Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and many more.
Who
looks at this website? Race fans for one, which
is primarily why the site is even here. Our sponsors also check
in from time to time to make sure that their company is being represented
in a positive manner. Big time race teams are also checking this
website, we know that computers from Hendrick Motorsports, Roush
Racing, Gillett Evernham Motorsports, DEI, and Joe Gibbs Racing
have been on our website at least once. We know this based on IP
addresses and contact with them. We also know that some current
and former Sprint Cup Series drivers have been on the site, based
on contact with them. And of course other local teams have been
on this site as well.
What
does the website offer? We
offer information based on the Mark Caise Motorsports teams. We
also offer a classified section on the site that is free to post
on, currently we ask that you e-mail us with what you would like
posted, along with pictures if possible. We will post almost anything,
not just racing items. We also offer downloads like wallpaper and
cut-out car activities. We offer a full line of stats based on the
Mark Caise Motorsports team since it began fielding Stock Cars in
2005. We offer some news based on our experience from the track,
and last year a much more detailed description of racing on Wednesday
night.
What
can we expect from the website in the future? Coming
in late 2008 and early 2009 be on the look for version 3.0 of our
site. Currently this is version 2.0, if you checked the site in
2007 you will notice it changed in Feb. 2008 to its current format.
We will again change the format in 2009 in order to keep improving
on it. We hope to have more pictures of racing action, as well as
more downloads in our download section. We plan to have contests
that will be exclusive to the MCM website. Also we plan to have
polls and surveys so we can have more fan participation on the site.
People have asked me about Forums, well we could do them but it
would take alot of work to maintain them, I suggest if you wish
to use a forum for local racing action check out greenlaps.com or
jeff-pearl.com as they both have great forums for talking about
local racing action and they do a great job maintain them with current
information and topics. However, we might place a comment section
on the site for people to place comments.
