Mohegan Sun Double Down Shootout

The events tonight were advertised to be $25 for the grandstands, and $30 for the pits. On Friday night the track changed the prices, to $30 for the grandstands and $40 for the pits. People kept asking me if the change in price was because of Mohegan Sun, as many felt it was. I can assure you that Mohegan Sun in no way changed the prices and that it was track management that did.

The day started off about an hour behind schedule, and our practice was cut short because the officials do not understand how to run block practicing, we should have had 45 minutes, I was one of the first cars on the track, when I pulled back in they came over to us and said ten minutes left, I said no 35 minutes left, I started the clock in my car. They apparently felt that you start the clock when you call the drivers to the cars, and not when the cars get on the track, so we had planed to make a motor adjustment and be able to go back out for the last few minutes, we couldn't.

We had a good start tonight starting the #30 Mohegan Sun car in 19th, and we were able to work our way up thru the field tonight better then we had all year, the car handled great but the motor was still not there. One yellow came out and they put us back further then we should have been, I pulled up to challenge it, and they said they "have nothing to do with it", I asked for them to call the tower and they refused. I drove away to get back in line and they didn't give me time and therefore lost 4 more spots, I would have only lost 1 spot had the 12 moved over to let me by, which they asked him to do on the radio, and he didn't, so coming to the green I gave him a bump to say thanks for moving. But we finished a strong 14th which was good.

Then the fog moved in forcing the cars to go home, which we didn't want to see because car 30 was to start on the poll for the second race. We will work some more on the engine and try to find more power so we can start good and finish good next week.
