As
far as I can tell this will be the home for official speedbowl news
until they get there new speedbowl.com site up and running, so check
there is you want to see anything in Black and White. Also there
is a place to volunteer to help make the place better. Most people
might think 'why in the world would i do that?' Well its simple,
a track up north from us had issues like we have had over the past
few years, then a new management team stepped in and told everyone
there wasn't even enough money to run 4 races, the teams stuck together
and everyone volunteered for two days and basically rebuilt the
track. For example electricians volunteered there time to get the
lights back working, painters painted the buildings and walls, pavement
crews fixed cracks, kids did the gardens, ect. The track came back
more successful then ever, to repay them the track gave them each
a few pit pass for the most expensive race of the season. And of
course track management gave them much more respect then before,
therefore when the drivers requested something the track was more
likely to agree with them because they were responsible for bringing
the track back to life... just something to think about.
