Some
updates on the #30 car. As mentioned before because of a new management
team at the bowl (if you check here often you know what our stance
was on the old management team and officials) that we plan to run
the full 2009 schedule, and while we found funding for a partial
schedule we are still seeking more sponsors.
But
none the less we are still moving forward with the off season work.
Today the engine was delivered to our new engine supplier, Ashaway
Performance Engines, in Ashaway, RI. We plan to receive that back
sometime around March or even sooner, until then we will be working
on suspension and frame work. We learned alot about these cars in
the few races we ran and have found where we can improve on geometry.
We
will also being doing some transmission and rear-end work, and playing
with the gears that we currently have in the car to get more out
of them, and to fix the transmission so I don't have to keep double
clutching to get it into gear every time :(.
On
a happy note this web site has been receiving tremendous amounts
of visitors each day (and even a ton more from people looking/googleing
for thebowlisback.com), and at the current rate that the visitors
are coming back we most likely will have to move to a new and bigger
server to handle the demand. If that happens you would not even
notice as the URL and page stay the same (it would be like owning
a small donut shop and moving next door to a larger shop, the same
owners, same name, same everything just a bigger space for donut
lovers).
Also
keep an eye out on the Survey of the Week section, as we have some
new sponsors for it and you will see them shortly. And remember,
unlike other sites, you do not need to register on this site in
order to vote, just click vote and a new window will open up and
show you the results in real time. And if you got a question you
would like to see answered please feel free to send me it and I
will put it up for the week.
