A rules meeting for the Wednesday night divisions has been added for competitors in those divisions. The rules meetings will be held on Tuesday January 6th, 2009 at the Groton Inn and Suites at 6:30pm.

If you read thebowlisback.com you will notice it says "We hope to continue the Waterford Speedbowl's NASCAR sanction under the Whelen All-American Series banner for the 2009 season and beyond. But since the track's operating team has changed this off-season, we're unable to confirm our status as of yet. We will update you as soon as everything is finalized!! As always, feel free to email us below with any concerns."

I hope we do get it back, however, at the end of the Whelen Modified Tour Banquet they did not announce the Speedbowl as a NASCAR Home Track for local or regional competition. However, Lime Rock, Thompson, and Stafford were all announced as NASCAR Home Track's for 2009. Please note that on NASCAR.com the Speedbowl is still listed as a NASCAR Home Track, but who knows how often they update that page because it does not change very often. So my advice is to hold off on renewing your NASCAR licence until an official announcement is made.
